It is a recent fat reduction technology, created by scientists at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University. It is a non-invasive method - no need for anesthetics, needles or surgeries - which is based on the selective cooling of fat cells, leading to a reduction of up to 25%! It takes between 1 and 3 treatments for results to begin to appear! It's a revolution in fighting fat through the cold!
How it works?
The Physiotherapist delimits the area to be treated, ensuring an accurate placement of the machine on the selected location. A transparent, machine-specific gel is placed in place, and as soon as the machine handle is positioned, vacuum is applied and the cooling panels "numb" the zone. There is no pain and the sensation is similar to the one we have when our fingers are asleep in the freezing cold of winter!
Cooling is intense but controlled and only affects fat. It is not harmful to our muscles, vessels and nerves.
At the end of the treatment, the Physiotherapist massages the place contributing to even more fat cells cease to exist! The recovery is fast and soon after the end of the session, the patient can return to normal activities.
Advantages of cryolipolysis when compared to liposuction:
• it is not a surgical intervention, so the risks are incomparable;
• noninvasive method effective when properly applied;
• without recovery period;
• treatment at lower cost;
• an option for those who can not or do not want surgery.
Warning: this procedure can not be considered as a substitute for weight loss or preventative weight gain. Even with the destruction of fat cells, if caloric consumption increases, those that remain will expand and increase in volume.
