Blepharoplasty
Excess skin on the eyelids, especially on the upper eyelids, begins to be noticed early, being one of the first signs of aging of the face. Eyelid surgery allows us to correct fat pockets, excess skin and sagging tissues. Surgery is performed on an outpatient basis and recovery time is short (8 to 15 days). Correction of the position of the eyebrow (frontal lift) is also combined, whenever necessary with eyelid surgery, so that the look is more open and rejuvenated.
Alarplasty
The purpose of alectomy is to reduce the diameter of the nasal wings in situations where people feel uncomfortable with the width of their nostrils, especially when the facial features potentiate “alar flaring” and the side of the nostril is visible beyond the base of the nostril implantation. It is a procedure sought by both men and women and is usually performed under local anaesthesia. The scars can be hidden inside the nasal cavity, or, in the most severe cases, they are external, but hidden in the groove of the nasal wings.
Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty is the intervention that allows the remodelling, correcting the shape, structure and nasal contour. The procedure can increase or decrease the size of the nose, change the shape of the tip, narrow or widen the nostrils, or change the angle between the nose and the upper lip. Thus, it can be limited to only one area of the nose (most often the nasal tip) or it can involve all its components (bone, cartilage, skin). At the same time, whenever justified, nasal function must be corrected.
The nose plays a unique role due to its central position on the face, so when properly selected, this intervention may be highly comforting and rewarding.
Face and Neck Lift
The face and neck lift (technically called rhytidectomy) is the most comprehensive and profound approach to the correction of the sagging and falling tissues of the face and neck. It does not “stop the clock”, but it can delay it by a few years, improving the most visible signs of aging. It allows the correction of the fallen “cheeks”, the grooves around the nose and chin and the “double chin”. It can be complemented with other procedures and techniques, such as eyebrow repositioning, eyelid surgery, chemical peeling, amongst others. Surgery can range from a minimally invasive procedure to a more extensive, sophisticated one, depending on the patient's characteristics. Preserving the patient's individuality, facial traits and expressions is mandatory in this surgery, which does not intend to transform the face, only to rejuvenate it. Despite its complexity, this is one of the most rewarding interventions in the world of plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
Otoplasty
Otoplasty is a surgery that corrects the shape, size and proportion of the ear. Often performed in pediatric age, it can happen at any stage of life. It is an outpatient procedure and the scars are hidden in the natural fold that exists between the back of the ear and the head. The results are immediately visible and the postoperative period is not complex, with the only need to protect the new position of the ear with a band, which must be used during the night, in the first 15 days.
